Hello, my name is Philip. I am a dedicated teacher and tutor. I have over five years of experience as an educator. I began tutoring as a Supplemental Instructor for Spanish while a student at the University of Tennessee at Martin. After that, I spent two years teaching Spanish at Michigan State University while I completed my master's degree in Hispanic Literature. For the last two years, I have been a bilingual elementary school teacher for Milwaukee Public Schools.
I strive for the success of all my students, because I believe that their success is my success. Through dedication and hard work, I believe that we all are capable of learning anything we put our minds to. With my students, I know that the best way for us to move forward is to first understand where a student is beginning from, and where their strengths and weaknesses lie. From there, I plan comprehensive lessons that require active participation from the student so that they may receive support and guidance from me as we work to meet their goals together.
