I am a hard working passionate teacher who loves teaching and empowering students to learn. I believe every student has the capability to grasp new material when presented in small increments at their level. I love using manipulative methods and modeling problems for different learning styles. It is my desire that every student feels confident in math and it is my job to meet the challenge and have them prepared. As a child I would always play school with my younger siblings and while in high school my career assessment results was teaching. I was amazed and instead choose engineering as my college major. I worked as an engineer for 16 years but always volunteered to tutor math. I finally answered my true calling and left the professional engineering career to teach full-time . In addition to loving math I also taught my three sons how to read as we lived outside the United States for fifteen years. My love of reading and teaching inspires me to assist others who may need additional help or shown an easier way to comprehend the material. Every child can learn and be successful.
