I started my academic career at Cerritos Community College. During my time there, I went on to participate in both the math club and robotics club and was the only student to be nominated by faculty to attend JPL's JLPUS program. A lot of my tutoring experience stems from the math club where I would spend most of my time tutoring others. Naturally, math has always been a subject I have enjoyed taking and tutoring. It is a subject many students initially struggle with because they think they are incapable of understanding it, therefore, it brings me joy when I see their mentality and approach towards the subject change once they start to have success. I graduated with honors from Cerritos in May of this year (Math, Physics, and Chemistry) and I am looking forward to continuing my undergraduate mechanical engineering degree at Cal Poly Pomona.
Outside of academics, I like to play soccer, go to the movie theater or enjoy a nice view point. When I have ample time, I like to go to Disneyland or visit new places. As most can see, I am no different than anyone else and, therefore, there is no reason why each student cannot have same academic success.
