Working with students one on one has a different element to learning when in comparison to a whole group instruction, and for that special reason I have grown to love working individually with students to help them reach their goals. Teaching is truly a passion of mine. Working with students is something that I love, and I believe that the deepest learning and understanding occurs when a strong foundation, connection and relationship forms between the teacher and student. Tutoring is one of the many ways this can be possible.
Currently, I have my undergraduate degree in Early Childhood/Childhood Education with a concentration in English and a masters degree as a Literacy Specialist working with ages Birth-12. I have tutored students of all ages in the past. I have been teaching kindergarten for two years, and am looking very forward to my third year in the classroom.
Aside from teaching, I love to stay active and surround myself with my friends and family. I am a runner, love to do yoga, and exercise outside when it is nice. Laying by the pool or beach is one of the first places you will find me, as I love the summer months.
