After graduating from University of Mary with a teaching degree in both Early Childhood Education and Elementary Education, I substitute taught at all grade levels, and then began my 9 year long classroom teaching career.
Due to students all having different needs in a classroom, I differentiated instruction to meet learners at all levels, including those who needed support and those who needed challenge. I have experience working with students with disabilities, and am proficient in teaching to many different learning styles. Because of this, I am able to successfully reach students who are struggling to understand content or those who are needing to be spurred on. These skills and experiences are what make me an excellent tutor!
Outside of tutoring, I enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, running, and biking. My family and I enjoy spending time together outdoors, and I also love to sing and play piano.
