I graduated from the University of California, Riverside in 2015 with a BS in Biology. At UCR I worked as a peer mentor where I worked with struggling college students of various ages and backgrounds to help them figure out to efficiently manage their time and discover where setbacks were occurring in their day to day activities. After graduation, I worked with City Year, an Americorps Organization where I worked with 9th grade students that struggled in English and Math and I helped them set and achieve their goals in school by drastically improving their literacy and ability to continue striving through adversity. My wide range of experiences with different students allow me to adapt quickly to different learning styles and connect with a variety of students. I have the ability to tutor a wide variety of subjects, but I am most passionate about all subjects in the sciences such as Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
I also have the ability to tutor for the MCAT. I will be starting medical school at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University in August 2017. I have experienced the rigors of the MCAT while balancing a full course load and it has given me a lot of insight into tools and tips that have allowed myself to succeed. I hope to share my knowledge with you while developing your own plans to achieve your dreams for medical school as well.
I believe that every student has the ability to learn and grow with the right amount of confidence and practice. Education is so powerful and we need to harness our abilities to reach our full potential.
Outside of academics, I love to talk about sports, play baseball, watch musicals, and the occasional Netflix binge. However, my job will be to figure out what learning style and tools best fits your needs while also making it a productive environment to achieve your goals.
