I am currently a junior at Cleveland State University, majoring in journalism. In the past, I have tutored young students, mostly in middle school, in subjects such as English and Algebra. A lot of my experience in teaching fellow peers comes from being an editor and helping students of all ages learn what goes into writing articles and creating accurate and efficient news pieces. My teaching philosophy is pretty relaxed, I try to gauge my student's personality and find a teaching method that they connect with. I believe knowledge is important and you can never be too educated. I am comfortable tutoring in math and science but I am most knowledgeable when it comes to English. Outside of tutoring, I focus on school and my writing, as I am the Managing Editor of my school paper and an Editorial Intern for Cleveland Magazine. I have always felt comfortable in the position of helping others and teaching students as much as I can. I also spend my time reading, writing a story here or there, playing the ukulele and going for a walk or hike if the weather permits it.
