I'm a graduate student at University of Colorado- Denver, pursuing a master's degree in Chemistry. I love science and really enjoy helping others understand how the world works, particularly in a chemical setting.
For tutoring, I'm very patient when working with students. I understand that sometimes understanding a new topic can be very confusing, so any taking any steps to break down concepts down to the most basic ideas are sometimes necessary to have a foundation to build upon. My style with tutoring tends to be teach and have the student follow along, letting them to ask any question to help clarify information and then have them do some practice problems or "teach" me how to solve a problem. I try to make sure they fully understand the topic before moving on to something new.
When not attending school or busy tutoring, I like to read, cook, hike, sailing and windsurfing. Currently, I'm trying to learn how to rock climb (both roped and boulder). I also love to travel, and have been lucky enough to live in China for about a year as well explore much of the northern hemisphere.
I look forward to hearing from you and helping you with any homework and academic issues you may have.
