My credentials begin with my education. I obtained my undergraduate degree in 1994 from St. Mary of the Woods in Terre Haute, Indiana with a degree in elementary education. I also obtained my graduate degree in 2003 from Bellarmine University in Louisville, Kentucky with a masters in elementary education. These two schools gave me a solid foundation for what laid ahead.
This education led me to teach at the primary school level for 18 years. During this time, I gained strategies for both reading and math that help children become independent learners. If given the right strategies and opportunities to learn those strategies, all children can be successful in school and in life. Children learn by doing. In so doing, children gain confidence to keep learning on their own. Learning is a life long process.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading a good book, playing games, watching movies, and enjoying time with my family and friends. I would love to share my love of reading, as well as fun learning games to help your child grow in knowledge and love of learning.
I would love to get to know your child better and help them grow in confidence and knowledge. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
