Hello! My name is Roni, and I am currently earning my doctorate in clinical psychology in Chicago. I am excited to have the opportunity to tutor students in a variety of subjects.
My passion for teaching developed after tutoring ESL Somali adults at the Minneapolis Public Library and cancer-stricken children at the Ronald McDonald House. I embrace the opportunity to work one-on-one with individuals who want to learn more about a certain subject. Most recently, I taught an undergraduate level course in Human Sexuality, and while this was a great experience, I am excited to go back to working with students in a one-on-one setting.
My teaching style is focused on individualizing lesson plans and teaching materials based on the needs, personality, and learning preferences of the student. I believe the most important part of learning has to be getting the student engaged in the material. Therefore, I like to use different forms of media and learning methods as part of my instruction.
My other interests include tennis, chess, exercising, and basketball. I should also mention that I am an avid Game of Thrones fan! I hope to hear from you!
