Hi! My name is Yousuf - I am currently a medical student in my last year of school and I would appreciate the chance to help other students reach their goals.
A bit about myself: as an undergraduate at Loyola University Chicago, I helped my classmates study in both science and mathematics courses through weekly study sessions. I graduated with two majors, in both philosophy and molecular biology, along with a minor in bioethics. Through these vastly different fields, I was able to learn in unique topics that expanded my knowledge base.
After finishing college, while I was obtaining my Master's degree in medical science at New York Medical College, I volunteered as a tutor for impoverished New York City youth in STEP (Science and Technology Enrichment Program) workshops. I focused primarily on teaching chemistry and tutored students to prepare for standardized tests.
Right before starting medical school, I tutored for a year at the Naperville Tutoring Center where I taught students from pre-school to college-level. There, I had the opportunity to help students increase their SAT and ACT scores, and one of my students was able to raise her score 6 points on the ACT.
Today, I hope to continue to help others reach their goals. Also, I am completely fluent in Spanish, Urdu, and Hindi. Lastly, I love to teach so please feel free to reach out and ask anything!
