I am a junior Math and Statistics double major at Johns Hopkins University. This fall I will be studying abroad in Budapest, Hungary to take math classes with eminent European mathematicians and invest my time to learn about Hungarian methods of math education. I started tutoring in the beginning of high school as a volunteer to help students struggling in various math courses. In recent years, Ive been employed as an instructor at a math tutoring facility, independently tutored students in upper-level math courses at my college campus, taught and managed an SAT prep course, and volunteered to tutor struggling inner-city Baltimore youths in math and reading for four hours a week. I have experience teaching every math level from early education to college, as well as math standardized tests and the reading and writing sections of the SAT. I attribute my love of mathematics to the educators Ive had that go above and beyond for their students, and I'm very passionate about doing the same for those I teach. In my spare time, I give campus tours and enjoy reading, completing logic puzzles, running, and playing video games.
