I am a math and science teacher certified from K-7th Math and ELA.
I currently teach in NE DC where I lead a group of third and fourth grade scholars in math and science explorations.
My style of teaching is mostly related to hands on learning theories and exploratory learning styles. I enjoy using manipulatives, role playing, and live experiences to help students grasp concepts.
In the past I've taught 3rd-5th Grade ELA. I have experiencing teaching phonics and early literacy as well as experience teaching older elementary and middle school close reading and literature skills.
In December 2016, I finished a Master of Science in Elementary Education at John's Hopkins University.
When I am not teaching elementary school, I lead an after-school program, write poetry, and play tennis!
I look forward to sharing my skills to help students excel and pursue their most wildest dreams!
