Hi! My name's Nick and I am currently working toward my teaching credential at CSULB. Right now I am debating between middle and high school, but my chosen subject area is English. I'm passionate about learning and helping people develop their language skills, especially when it comes to writing and reading.
Previously, I was a magazine editor and freelance copy editor. I have undergraduate degrees in English literature and Spanish from USC and a master's degree in journalism from Columbia University. As a teacher, I am open-minded and flexible and I focus on the student's individual skills that can help them with the task at hand. I believe everyone is a natural learner as long as they have a teacher who can help them find a meaningful connection with the material.
Aside from teaching, I'm an avid baker and amateur runneremphasis on amateur. I love foreign languages and am always reading at least two books. I look forward to working with you!
