I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Anthropology from the University of California, Davis and a Master of Arts in Social Sciences from the University of Chicago. Throughout my undergraduate degree, I gained ample tutoring experience, both in the U.S and abroad. I tutored intermediate Spanish learners at the UC Davis Spanish Department, I led conversational Spanish classes for parents at a dual immersion elementary school and held private Spanish lessons. I also tutored English learners at a middle school in Chile and worked with children at a cultural arts school in Peru. I love working and learning with non-native and native speakers of Spanish! Furthermore, I particularly enjoy revising essays, practicing conversational Spanish and analyzing literature with students. Overall, my tutoring experiences have shaped my understanding of teaching as a process that involves mutual learning, growth and understanding between teacher and student. In addition to tutoring, I enjoy taking ballet classes, swimming, watching films and reading Latin American literature.
