As a little girl, I wanted to become a missionary as I grew up, spreading Christianity and the hope of Jesus to others in foreign countries. When about 10 years old, I was introduced to the anime art style. I hated it. It wasn't until age 12 that I actually started getting into drawing anime. I've been drawing ever since that day. I wanted to make anime and manga as a profession. However, my parents encouraged me to find a well-paying job to support that passion. My mom also encouraged me to use my God-given talents in math and science. I decided to pursue a degree in Computer Science. One day, I hope to start my own company and help make some awesome RPG video games. I decided that I can use all of my passions, sharing my faith, anime, and physics and math to produce a wonderful product for people to enjoy.
As I progressed through my Calculus III class in college, I fell in love with it. I was amazed by the wonderfully complex world that God created. I especially noticed how Calculus and Physics matched up in theory and concept. There are no contradictions. It was then that I felt the calling to share this experience and teach people math. I also love encouraging people, so if I can encourage and help people learn math, then that would be amazing!
I don't believe that there are any truly stupid people. Everyone just learns in different ways and at different rates. I remember being confused with a Calculus I concept that I didn't really understand until Calculus III! Talent can take one far, but without patience, determination, and a good work ethic, that talent is useless.
I have some experience in teaching and explaining math. I've helped my good friend and my sister understand math concepts as they had issues with problems. I've worked together with my peers in groups to solve Calculus problems.
I currently have a 4.0 in college, and I'm excited and ready to fulfill this God-given passion to teach so math! So let's get started, and I look forward to working with you.
