I am a graduate of the University of Washington Bothell with a BA in Global Interdisciplinary Studies and a K- 8 Teaching Certificate. I believe in a holistic or interdisciplinary approach to education because life and society function as systems not as isolated facts or machines. I have been a 3rd grade teacher; math, science, and technology specialist for elementary; and a substitute teacher of all grade levels up to high school. My favorite subjects are science and technology. I enjoy tutoring one on one because it gives me time to focus on one student and get to know them as a person. When I’m not teaching I like working with my hands and spending time with my family.
