I graduated with honors from Metropolitan State University of Denver, with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Chemistry. I am currently pursuing a degree in medicine, and I will be applying to medical school later this year. One of the major reasons that I'm pursuing a career in medicine is to fulfill my passion for helping others, and I've dedicated myself to this pursuit both in a clinical laboratory setting, as well as by volunteering my time in an emergency department. I believe this same passion for helping others will transition remarkably well into tutoring and mentoring students who are looking to pursue their own goals and dreams. While I'm able to tutor a broad range of subjects, I am most passionate about Biology, Chemistry, and Math. I have already taken the MCAT and scored very well on it, with a particularly strong score in the Critical Reasoning and Analysis Section. I believe being able to critically think and reason through a problem is one of the biggest skills that someone can master, as it is a skill that can apply to any subject. I hope to impart this same skill on the students that I tutor. Coupled with this, I believe it is paramount to understand and respect the fact that every student has their own strengths and weaknesses, and you can't teach every student the exact same way. It's important to respect these differences, and to find a way to incorporate the strengths of each person you're teaching while simultaneously building upon their potential weak spots. When I'm not volunteering or working, I enjoy taking my dog to the dog park, hiking, reading, and enjoying the beauty of Colorado!
