I am a graduate of Gonzaga University where I received a Bachelor of Arts in psychology and criminal justice with minors in applied communications and English, and then my law degree. During my time there I was a leader in many different clubs and activities, including residence life, the writing club, and even student government. I also taught a creative writing unit at a local high school during my senior year, and during law school taught students constitutional law regarding their personal rights. Since graduating I have interned with a private city planning firm where I used my experience and education to assist small and medium sized towns and cities in public planning, policy review, and code issues.
I get very excited about the areas I studied in undergrad as well as law, and want to be able to help students reach their full potential and succeed whether or not they are struggling or want to push themselves further. Coming to Varsity Tutors, my vision has been to keep learning interesting and to impart more than the need to perform well; I think our time in the academia is a chance to experience some of what this world has to offer and find out what excites us.
Outside of this, I enjoy cooking, reading and writing, and riding my bike around. I'm also an amateur photographer focusing on landscape, candid and street photography.
