I am an environmental microbiologist earning my PhD at the University of Southern California. I teach undergraduate labs at USC, including introductory biology and genetics. I love making complex topics simple and connecting them to real world applications, and I have won teaching awards. I work very well with visual and hands-on learners since I am one, and I enjoy making up silly ways or sayings to remember things. If you enjoy drawing your studies, I am the tutor for you. In addition to traditional biology, I love learning about the great outdoors. I have experience with environmental sciences, including oceanography, and I have tutored geological sciences as well. I earned my bachelors in biological sciences at Texas A&M University, where I minored in geography. Currently, I also practice science communication as a science writer for the ocean sciences blog "Oceanbites".
