Greetings! I am Viet N. Trinh, an instructor specializing in both U.S. History and standardized test preparation for Varsity Tutors. My teaching style revolves around simplifying big, daunting concepts into engaging, digestible lessons; learning via experience/exposure rather than rote memorization; and critical reflection.
When not tutoring individual students, I am pursuing my PhD in History at Yale University. There, I also teach undergraduate courses in History; American Studies; and Ethnicity, Race, and Migration.
Before moving to New England, I studied History and Creative Writing at the University of California, Riverside. I proudly hail from the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Area.
