Although I am a tutor and teacher, I will always think of myself as a student because I will always be learning. As a fellow student, I empathize with your (or your child's) struggle to achieve mastery, and, as an experienced person in the field of education, I can help guide you through this challenging process.
I have been an educator for 14 years, some of those years as a substitute teacher, some of those years as a paraeducator (one-on-one or small group assistance) for special education inclusion students. I have experience in all grade levels from kindergarten through 12th grade.
When I'm not teaching, I'm usually reading, writing, or running long distances. I might be engaged in an intellectual discussion, either with my fellow grad students, a good friend or family member, or in my own mind. I am attending graduate school at the University of Maryland to earn my teaching certification.
