I am Daisy, a junior-year student of Columbia University, joint majoring in economics and philosophy. I love thinking, traveling, laughing and meeting new people. Life for me is full of adventure and joyful surprise.
I started teaching three years ago, when I started to build up a program called "Bring Columbia Core to China." During the time, I initiated reading seminars on literature and philosophy, and led free discussions among selected high school students in Shanghai during summer breaks. It was then that I started to feel great pleasure and a deep sense of fulfillment from sharing my ideas and knowledge with other people. Later on, I kept organizing the seminar for over two years around the Globe (China, Thailand, India, Malaysia) and started to peer tutor microeconomics at my own university.
Tutoring is like reading a book. Every book has its own theme and its own standpoint. Whenever I read a book, I always tell myself to stand in the writer's shoes and think over how my life experience can integrate with the book, thus adding another dimension to the original content. I am looking forward to reading your book.
