In progress of acquiring a Computer Science Degree, I have taken many high-level math courses as well as science courses. Working with students is something I have done in the past before and I have tutored many different ages in many different subject areas. Ensuring that the student learns and feels confident with his work is a must in my tutoring process.

Q & A

What is your teaching philosophy?

My teaching philosophy is to cater myself to the student, and not only to teach the student the material but also to figure out how the student learns the material best. This is in order to approach future tutoring sessions in the manner in which the student learns best!

What might you do in a typical first session with a student?

In a typical first session with a student, I would first get to know the student, ask a couple questions and see what they do already know and what they need some help on. Making a student feel comfortable and motivated is very important. It is about finding their interests and relating those interests into subject related coursework.
