I was 14 yrs. old when I fell in love with the Spanish culture and language. It happened during a 3-day train ride from Ft.Wayne, IN to Mexico City, Mexico, with my friend and her parents. That trip set the course of my life and lead to many remarkable adventures and friendships! I became an Hispanophile, and student of Spanish language, literature, culture, art, music, Latin American history, immersion language schools, chicano studies, pre-Colombian ruins, and travel!
