I love to teach because I think helping others to learn the subjects I know, is the best way to help others. Also I enjoy teaching. For me, it is an excellent way to relax and feel comfortable interacting with people.

I'd give an example, and show relations or analogies with a real-life situation.

I would start with easy texts and help to develop the comprehension of simple ideas, and then increase to more difficult ones.

Start simple and easy, and then increase difficulty levels.
How would you help a student get excited/engaged with a subject that they are struggling in?
By relating the subject with a useful concept or future need to accomplish a goal.

I ask simple questions at the beginning, and check step by step.

By developing the understanding and the process to find answers by themselves with a researching habit.

First, by trying to understand what is the objective of the student, as well as their interest and motivation, and then by making adjustments in the learning process.

By adjusting the pace to the learning speed of each student. Making sure that each objective is covered satisfactorily.
What types of materials do you typically use during a tutoring session?
Visual aids, drawings, and writing. Picture examples.

Helping the student learn how the concept is developed so the learning is permanent, and not a simple repetition of words and processes.
