Hello! Did you know I used to write textbooks? A recent Brown University grad, I am fluent in Spanish and near-fluent in French. I've lived (worked and studied) in countries that speak both languages. I freelance as an interpreter, and I'm familiar with many dialects.
I bring 8 years of experience in education in various capacities (instructor, editor, tutor, administrator), working with students ranging from 10 to 62 years of age.
Additionally, I am, 1) committed to the potential of education to transform both student's individual lives and our society as a whole; 2) skilled in the use of music, art, and other media for increased student engagement; 3) a meticulous editor/ thoughtful feedback provider; 4) a patient and supportive listener--delighted to participate in each student's learning journey; and 5) highly organized--effective in meeting student goals and pacing towards them!
