Throughout the past five years I have loved helping and teaching students of all ages. Beginning in college at the University of Tulsa, I helped my peers in classes I had taken, from Calculus, Algebra and Differential Equations, to Physics and Chemistry. As well as doing freelance tutoring work outside of the university with younger K-12th grade students. If one of my tutees struggled to understand something I would always try various approaches until they succeeded . Through tutoring as well as other office jobs at the Student Union and Mathnasium, I believe I have the developed skills and capabilities to excel as a tutor with your child. This includes: a strong work ethic, detailed practice with reports, imperturbable optimism, clear communication skills and the ability to channel my love for education to those I teach.
One of the core responsibilities of any teacher or instructor is to motivate your students to care about the subject material. One of the driving forces for my work, and the best way to motivate students, is to be excited yourself. I let my enthusiasm for the subject affect my students, fueling their desire to learn. As a tutor at Varsity Tutors I will make the most of this passion to help teach and inspire the students.

Q & A
What is your teaching philosophy?
Get to know the student, where they are, what isn't making sense, and how their teacher explained the material. After that, I'd start to give examples that are more general to show them why they're doing those steps. Show them pictures, graphs and various real-world examples.
