Tutoring is something I've always been interested in doing, especially after receiving help from a free chemistry tutoring service during my time in college. I find that sometimes being one of dozens of students in a lecture hall wasn't enough to effectively learn a concept. After only a few sessions one on one with a tutor, my understanding of critical concepts and test scores began to improve. It is because of this positive experience as a student interacting with tutors that I would like to return the favor to other struggling students.
Outside of tutoring, I enjoy exploring our world's forests, as well as our world's music. I hope to one day return to school and eventually earn a PhD so that I can continue to educate young scientists in a more effective way than I received as a student.

Q & A
What is your teaching philosophy?
Positive reinforcement has always been an effective motivational tool for me. Focusing on the negatives can only bring a student's confidence down, so I would help the student to realize how powerful their own mind is; thereby boosting their self-esteem and encouraging them to continue growing.
