You are not "bad at math," we just need to figure out how YOU understand math!
I am a native Hebrew speaker and a self proclaimed math hero. My education includes a B.S. from the University of Colorado in Psychology with a minor in Biology with Honors in Academic Performance. I am currently enrolled in the PA program at GWU which required excellent marks in all subjects to be admitted. Being a former college TA for both biology and organic chemistry at the University of Colorado, I realized that every student learns differently and it is my job to understand what is the best way for you to understand the material. Some learn with a straight forward approach, while some need different tricks to make math more approachable. Having learned a foreign language myself at an older age, I completely understand when students tell me "this sounds like a foreign language" and that is my take on teaching: anyone can learn, you just need to understand what is their native language.
