I first began tutoring in high school. Initially, it was a means of income, but I quickly discovered the value in reviewing my own study material from the perspective of other students. When moving on to college, I became part of the Caltech RISE program, a group that offers tutoring in all subjects to struggling high schoolers throughout the Pasadena region. After graduation, I worked for the Youth Science Institute, teaching a diverse set of science and nature subjects to younger students throughout the Bay Area.
When not teaching, I enjoy exploring the outdoors, practicing martial arts, and learning to code. I also enjoy studying more typical languages, and possess familiarity (though not fluency) with both Japanese and Spanish.
