I currently hold a Professional Spanish Teaching Certificate to teach 7-12 grade students. I received a Master's degree in Spanish Literature from The City College of New York (June 2012) and obtained Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Secondary Education in May 2009, where I was Magna Cum Laude. I have a great passion and respect for educating children and adults.
In addition to my High School teaching background, I have also worked as an Adjunct Lecturer for City College of New York for three consecutive years where I taught Spanish as a second language. In 2014 I was offered to teach a Method class by the Chair of the Spanish Secondary Education Department in the same college (CUNY) as well. Within my experience at CUNY, I taught Spanish teachers how to implement different techniques to teach Spanish as a second language.
Even though my license is in Spanish, my passion and dedication to teaching and helping my students guided me to explore in others subjects. I taught Social Studies for the Dual Language program for one year, and I taught Social Studies, US History, and Algebra on the PM and Summer program in my former school for 3 years.
For me, the most important part of my career is facilitating my students the necessary tools so they may succeed and become lifelong learners.
