I am a highly effective and dynamic high school science teacher who can cater to the needs of any student. I believe that all humans have an intrinsic desire to learn that will truly never be satiated. A teacher’s role is to never stop accessing and engaging this capacity for learning. A teacher is a mentor, a guide, a positive influence, a source of support, a friend, and a safe-haven. Teachers have a great angle to have an impact on lives at their most transitional and formative stages, and inevitably make a huge difference in a child’s life. In the case of all youth, one must be first advocated for, then supported, then empowered, and a teacher has the opportunity to accomplish all of these tasks.

In the classroom, teachers are not infallible founts of knowledge; instead, they are experienced facilitators of learning. I believe that I have the skills to teach students how to learn and to help them get comfortable pushing boundaries. Teachers are around to remind students that failure is okay, and to push them to always keep striving for answers despite trying out wrong ones.

I believe that science is valuable as a tool for future achievement and an important practice for the development and improvement of critical thinking. Furthermore, all study of science provides us with a body of practical knowledge about the phenomena that occur around us every day, dictate our lives, and make us who we are.
