I graduated from the University of Chicago, to which I transferred from the University of Pennsylvania; before that, I attended a rigorous private high school in New York City. I received a Bachelors degree in English Literature with a minor in Philosophy. In high school I tutored a younger student in Classical Latin, a very rewarding experience; in college I frequently edited friends essays, working with them to sharpen their ideas and arguments. I tutor all academic subjects as well as for standardized tests such as the SAT and ACT. My two favorite subjects to tutor are English and Math. Though these subjects seem different, I like to approach them the same way with students: building from simple, easily-grasped concepts to complex solutions and insights. This reflects my teaching style when it comes in all subjects I tutor. Outside of academics my interests lie in the arts. Im pursuing a musical career: I write and record rock n roll songs and am in the process of starting a band. Also (unsurprisingly) I like to read - novels, short-stories, works of philosophy - and to watch Westworld.
