What is your teaching philosophy?

Teachers have a strong influence in making a subject a student's favorite one. Teaching should be made fun.

What might you do in a typical first session with a student?

Learn more about their way of studying, their interests towards the subject, and how much they know.

How can you help a student become an independent learner?

By encouraging them to practice more questions and work out the problem by themselves. This would give them self-confidence.

How would you help a student stay motivated?

Through practice, and by showing them the potential of achieving their career goals through education.

If a student has difficulty learning a skill or concept, what would you do?

Try different approaches. With today's technology, there are numerous ways in which a concept can be explained.

How do you help students who are struggling with reading comprehension?

I myself have had trouble with reading comprehension when I was preparing for the GRE and TOEFL exams. There are different strategies and approaches for overcoming this difficulty. Also, practice helps significantly.

What strategies have you found to be most successful when you start to work with a student?

Being open to questions and clarifications and identifying or introducing new learning tricks or strategies.

What techniques would you use to be sure that a student understands the material?

Discussing the concepts and applications of theory, as well as practicing different types and levels of problems using the concept.

How do you build a student's confidence in a subject?

I would encourage the students on practicing and revising concepts regularly, as it helps in remembering concepts and solving problems quickly.

How do you evaluate a student's needs?

By open discussion and clarification.

How do you adapt your tutoring to the student's needs?

By asking for suggestions and understanding their preferences, especially in teaching style or mode of learning.
