My name is Alex, and I'm a former coordinator/music licensor. These days, I earn a living by driving for Uber, playing the organ, and tutoring you. I have also been developing a video game for a little over a year.

I am engaged to the wonderful and fabulously talented Amy, who I met while living in NYC. My hobbies/distractions include video games, Netflix, and dogs :)

Q & A

What is your teaching philosophy?

Involve the student! In my opinion, the only way to learn is to do. As a teacher, I try not to dictate proper methods and answers, but to assist the student's thought process by asking guiding questions. Though it may be a quick and easy way of getting through a subject, telling students the right answer is not helpful. In order to learn, they must come to that answer themselves by critically analyzing the problem.
