Q & A
How can you help a student become an independent learner?
By showing them how to utilize their strengths when studying and supplying them with the proper notes, questions, and thought process.
How would you help a student get excited/engaged with a subject that they are struggling in?
I would try to connect whatever subject we are working on to something they like or are interested in.
How do you build a student's confidence in a subject?
Encourage them and let him/her do many questions. If a student can see that he/she is getting better at answering the questions or thinking in the right manner, they will start to believe in themselves more.
What types of materials do you typically use during a tutoring session?
I would use notes, outlines, and diagrams.
