I have a Bachelors degree in Clinical Laboratory Science from the University of Cincinnati. Ive enjoyed working in the medical field as a laboratory scientist for the past 10 years because I get to solve problems that directly benefit others. Recently, Ive found that the only thing more fulfilling than solving problems myself is using my knowledge and experience to empower others to solve those problems. I truly enjoy learning and have found it very gratifying to share this love of learning with others. I believe the best way to learn is in a relaxed environment, with someone who can guide you toward the answer in a way that best suits your learning style. I believe that everyone learns differently, and I enjoy finding what these differences are so that I can best communicate ideas and concepts in a way that makes sense for the individual student. I have a tendency to learn things the hard way -- breaking things down to their most basic level, and learning all aspects of a concept so that I have a full understanding of how and why it works. This personality quirk has allowed me to understand and communicate effectively with people, regardless of their background knowledge or learning style.
