I am a current graduate student pursuing my M.S. in Geology, with an emphasis in earthquake geology and earthquake hazards. I plan to pursue a Ph.D In geology so that one I can teach University level students. Helping students is my passion, because I have struggled when I first started my educational studies.

Q & A
What is your teaching philosophy?
Be the student. Understand what the problem is from the eyes of a student. Patience is a virtue, but compassion for your subject is key.
What might you do in a typical first session with a student?
Build the trust, and help the student feel comfortable to where they can ask you any type of question, silly or not.
How can you help a student become an independent learner?
Show them the keys to success. Relate to them, and demonstrate the success story behind great tutoring and learning.
How would you help a student stay motivated?
We will take that concept by the whole and dissect that concept until we find the problem. Then we will attack it from a different direction.
