Hello! I have taught in various capacities for much of my life, 25 years, in fact. I started out teaching middle school in Minnesota, which I loved, because of the energy of the kids. I ran an after-school program at the middle school where I taught, so I created content so that students could earn credit, and hired local college students to tutor. After that, I moved to Colorado and began to teach high school English. I covered many subjects, from 9th grade English to World Lit to American Lit to Shakespeare. I was very involved with my students and loved helping them and seeing them grow. I was at my school for six years, and then took a break when my son developed major health problems. I gradually started teaching at Community College of Denver, and I loved helping students get more proficient with their writing and learn how to navigate college when perhaps they had not succeeded academically before coming back to school. All of my experiences have helped me to work with students from all walks of life, and I am happy to help you in any subjects related to English and writing!
Outside of work, I love spending time with my husband and son, and our two dogs and two cats. We love to travel, see movies, go to festivals, spend time in the mountains, read books, and be outdoors.
