I am a graduate of the University of Minnesota: Twin Cities, where I received my Bachelors degree in Journalism with a minor in Spanish. Since my graduation in 2009, I have traveled extensively, spending a year in Brazil as an ESL teacher. I have been a freelance writer for the last three years and have worked for publications such as the St. Paul Pioneer Press, U.S. News and World Report, and suburban newspapers connected to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. In addition to writing, I am part-owner of a news, arts, and culture magazine, editing the issues from cover to cover. While I tutor many subjects, I am most passionate about English, Reading, Writing, and Journalism. In my experience, students excel when they are engaged, and I'm always looking for new, creative ways to make things interesting and appealing to the individual student. In my spare time I enjoy hiking, reading, seeing live music, and spending time with friends and family over a good meal.
