Q & A
What is your teaching philosophy?
My teaching philosophy is basic. I want to ensure that the student understands the basics. Problem solving is simply breaking a problem down into solvable pieces. The portfolio of basics that the student has mastered will enable a more efficient, effective problem solution. As a nuclear engineer and also as a petroleum engineer, I have been able to solve some complex problems. I attribute most of my problem-solving capability to an understanding of the basics in those disciplines.
