As an industrial and systems engineer who also studies chemistry, I am very passionate about education. I know how frustrating it can be to struggle through certain topics and have learned many tricks as a tutor to help people understand difficult concepts in their own way!

Q & A

What is your teaching philosophy?

My teaching philosophy is that anyone can learn the material being taught; it just has to be presented in the way that clicks for them. I am here to help make sure the material gets explained in a way that is easily understood.

What might you do in a typical first session with a student?

I would go over what kinds of learning styles work best for them. We could create an organized plan of how to best overcome the challenges at hand.

How can you help a student become an independent learner?

I can help a student become an independent learner by teaching them the skills they need to solve all of the problems, not just a single type of problem. We can create a map of what to do when they do not know what to do.
