Hello! My name is Madeline, but most people just call me Maddie. I grew up in a small town in Idaho and moved to Colorado when I was eight years old. I attended Rock Canyon High School in Highlands Ranch, and after that I got my B.A. in Integrative Physiology from CU Boulder. I love learning about all things health related, especially exercise and nutritive health. I worked in the exercise physiology lab my last two years at school, and published a honors thesis about short term best rest.
I graduated from CU this May and would love to help anyone who wants to learn more about biological sciences! I can't wait to work with you!
Q & A
What is your teaching philosophy?
Everyone learns differently, but everyone CAN learn. They just have to find a way that works for them.
How do you help students who are struggling with reading comprehension?
What helped me more than anything else was finding a book that I actually wanted to read. When you read something that you're willing to struggle through, eventually, the challenge reading presents will become less and less.
