I am a graduate of Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. I majored and graduated with a BA in Spanish with minors in Latin American Studies and English. I am a certified teacher in Secondary education and Elementary education for the state of NJ. I am also certified in the state of Texas as a Teacher of Spanish EC-12. I have 7 years of teaching experience in a classroom setting. I throughly enjoy tutoring in a one on one setting especially when it comes to Spanish. I believe this setting puts students in a more comfortable environment to verbally practice the use of the language. I do not have a specific style of tutoring meaning I like to adjust my tutoring according to each student's learning style. In all my tutoring sessions I like to incorporate fun, interactive, educational activities to learn the subject matter.
Outside of tutoring Spanish, I throughly enjoy reading, going to the beach, discovering new restaurants and coffee shops, and traveling. I also have a strong interest in photography, videography, and media arts. Spanish is more than a subject area for me, it is a part of my heritage. I love seeing and celebrating the positive impact it has made.
