I graduated from UC Riverside with a bachelor's in Sociology. I enjoy working with all types of people and love to help them understand difficult concepts. I have tutored all age ranges, from elementary to middle to high school. I have also tutored adult students on test prep for exams such as the CBEST. This broad range of experience has led me to adapt to many types of students. It has helped me grow as a teacher and as a person. I look forward to helping my students learn and providing them educational guidance as well.

Q & A
If a student has difficulty learning a skill or concept, what would you do?
I would be very patient with the student and first try to break any concepts/arithmetic into simple, easy steps. Then I would see how effective this is or whether I should teach using other techniques (visual, interactive, online, etc.)
What is your teaching philosophy?
I teach with an understanding that people learn in different ways and should have the opportunity to be taught according to the way that fits best for them. Education is the most valuable tool in my life, as it has influenced my current aspirations and dreams for the future. Education is not just scholastic but very personal, so I take the time to get to know the students I tutor, where they are coming from, and what their goals are. I work at the student's pace and allow them space to reflect on the areas they need improvement, what they excel in, and how they are feeling about the learning process.
