Hello! I graduated with honors from Pomona College in 2015 , where I majored in English in French literature. This past year, I attended a Fellowship at New York University in Abu Dhabi, where I worked with our international student body as a teaching assistant in writing-intensive courses. I also worked as a writing fellow in the university writing center, where I worked with undergraduates and graduate students from all disciplines and all linguistic backgrounds

At Pomona College, I worked with elementary school students through a program called the Weekly Writing Workshop, and during my summers, I worked with the Breakthrough Collaborative, an intensive summer school academy for middle school students

I love international literature and translated literature, and I believe strongly in the role of world literature as a learning resource for students of all ages and proficiencies.

Q & A

What is your teaching philosophy?

I believe the best teaching is student-led. I like to see teaching as an exchange that goes two ways. I always learn something when I sit down with a student!

What might you do in a typical first session with a student?

I'd love to talk about what my student's interests are, what they love and what they hate, so we can design lessons that truly interest them.
