I am from Oak Park, Illinois. I attended the University of Michigan where I studied psychology and creative writing.
I am passionate about providing equal educational access to all students. The past 2 years, I worked with City Year Chicago, tutoring and mentoring students in CPS. I tutored 7th and 8th graders in math and ELA. But I worked with students between grades 4 and 8 during after school homework help.
I love to read, write, play and watch sports, and play chess. I am a very easy-going person and generally positive, optimistic, and happy!

Q & A
What is your teaching philosophy?
I listen first! It's vital that I hear a student's complete thoughts and ideas. Of course, it's important that I make the material interesting and engaging. Once a student gains sincere interest in a subject or topic, the learning possibilities are endless.
