I've always held a passion for teaching. From the time I was in middle school, I helped coach tennis at my local tennis club. At my high school, Gateway Regional, I started tutoring through my school's National Honor Society, and I've continued in college, tutoring at a local charity in New Brunswick (where I attend Rutgers-New Brunswick) and in a New Brunswick elementary school. I find it just as satisfying when a student finally "gets" a difficult concept as I find it when something clicks in my brain when I'm studying, and I hope to be able to deliver that for everyone I tutor.

I like to tutor all subjects (as cliche as that sounds), but my favorites tend to be history and math. Math is operational, and I like being able to take students through the different steps to solve a problem. Since my teaching is heavily based off trial and error and practice problems, math fits my style perfectly. History has always been my favorite subject, and I love it because things tend to fit into a larger story and can be deduced from larger knowledge.

Outside of tutoring, I love watching and playing sports, particularly soccer and tennis, but also football. I'm also very interested in politics (part of the reason I'm pursuing a double major in economics and political science), though I doubt that will come up very often in tutoring sessions, and just reading about the world. Additionally, I love the French language, even if I don't (yet) know enough to have functional conversations.
