It is important to establish a strong foundation with each student to form a relationship that they feel comfortable sharing their strengths and weaknesses. I will combine an evaluation over mathematical skills with casual conversation to create a personal bond. How can you help a student become an independent learner?
Each student must achieve a personal level of confidence that assists them in feeling comfortable enough to make independent attempts. Assisted practice can assure a student that they will be able to work independently and achieve success.
